About the Book

In the wake of declining college enrollment and growing skepticism about the value of a degree, Who Needs College Anymore? challenges traditional notions of what postsecondary education should look like. Drawing from over 150 interviews and a decade of design-thinking research from the Education Design Lab, deLaski presents 10 powerful principles to reshape higher education with human-centered design and a focus on new-majority learners—those who have historically been marginalized or overlooked by traditional college pathways.

From bootcamps and apprenticeships to skills-based learning and career training, this book explores real alternatives that equip learners for success in today’s fast-changing economy
