To better serve students with testing accommodations, TeLS has granted Disability Resources (DR) staff limited permissions in Canvas. Specifically, DR staff can adjust quiz time settings when a student with an approved extended-time accommodation is scheduled to take their exam in the Testing Center.

This access ensures that students receive the correct amount of time on their quizzes, even if the instructor has not yet set up the accommodation in Canvas. Please note: this is the only course access DR staff have in Canvas. Their permissions are limited to quiz timing adjustments only.

Faculty are still encouraged to set extended time accommodations directly within their courses whenever possible, but DR is now able to step in as needed to support time accommodations for students using the Testing Center.
