Join us for a one-hour Zoom session introducing Perusall—a free, interactive reading platform integrated into Canvas that transforms reading from a solitary task into a shared learning experience. Using social annotation, Perusall can foster engagement and community in hybrid and online classes by prompting meaningful conversations directly within course readings. Learn how to insert brief lecture material, videos, or guiding notes directly into the readings, so that students encounter both content and commentary simultaneously, encouraging deeper understanding and real-time connection between ideas and leaving more time for active learning in the classroom.

Whether you’re new to Perusall or looking for ways to deepen student participation, this workshop will demonstrate practical strategies for integrating it into your Canvas course.
